Summer Bucketlist!

11-06-2021

Can you feel it? 'Cause I sure can, Summer is almost here! Bring on the fun activities, sunshine, long days and warm summer nights! In this blog, I want to talk about creating a bucket list, in a few different shapes/forms.

In this blog we're gonna talk about:

  • The Bucketlist + Summer Activities
  • Summer Highlight Album
  • Pinterest
  • Summer Cleaning Tips
  • Recipes for a fun Cocktail Party

Let's dive in!

Planner Bucketlist

I love creating Bucketlists in my planner, in my regular planner as well as in my Memory Planner.

First I like to make a list of all the Summer Activities we like to do this season, what is on our must-do list. That'll be my starting point for the final Bucketlist. On Pinterest, you can find soooo many fun ideas for a Summer Bucketlist (scroll down for my Summer Pinterest Board). I'll look around on there and start making a list of what is possible in my region and what fits us as a family or me as a person.

On my Instagram, I will show you the process in the next few weeks, feel free to take a look at the May bucket list I've made. This one is mostly decorative:

Summer Highlight album

I love doing this as well, I have been making seasonal albums for quite some time now. My faves are Winter and Summer, for sure. This year I will be using the DLS Design Summer Stories products again. They are hosting a fun multiple-week workshop to go with the collection as well, online! Trust me, it will be great, all members of the teacher/design team will work on the Workshop so there is something for everyone and we'll be there to guide your way in Documenting Summer in a private community. How fun! It's a great way for me to plan Summer activities and look back on all the fun things we did during the Summer.

Hi there! Today I want to share some tips and tricks on making this upcoming week your most productive week ever!
Let's dive in!

It's been a while since I've posted on here, it's been soo busy here. Switched jobs and got so busy with my new work, loving every minute though! And then the Summer Stories Masterclass started in July, so besides making projects for the regular DLS kits, I was also making courses and lessons for the Summer Stories Masterclass....

Today I want to talk about something different. On Monday the DLS Design Summer Stories Masterclass will start so I want to shine some light on this fun Summer Masterclass! We (me and the whole DSL Design team) have more than 50 courses (in video or photo) for you working in/on different kinds of albums, journals and planners....

Pinterest

Can you get lost just as easily as I can on Pinterest? It can be such a time-consuming thing but I love it for vision boards and bucketlists. Check out the Summer Bucketlist board I've made for this summer!

I love this for loads of things, mainly big events/dreams/goals I have planned. I can keep everything in one theme combined and find it all easily. You can also share your board with friends/family. You can work together on your board which is a lot of fun and great for when you're organising something together. Like the Wedding Board I'm sharing with my bestie, she's getting married this year and having a shared board is so easy to keep track of what we find.

So, start by making a Pinterest board, and then search for things like summer activities, summer bucket list and start adding to your board. Maybe even look up your location for vacation to add that on there. Start Pinning away and create your own Summer Bucketlist!

Summer cleaning

I like to check off BIG seasonal cleaning chores before the Season starts, so start now with clearing out garages and closets and purging clothes and whatnot. Get the windows nice and clean. And make sure your outside area is Summer ready!

I also have a few quick Summer Cleaning tips to share:

  • Do your vacuuming as early or as late as you can. When it's cooled off a bit outside, don't do your chores at the hottest times of the day (unless you have a really cool home, it won't be such a hard task then).
  • Hang your laundry to dry outside (one of the nicest things about Summer hihi).
  • When it's too hot outside and inside, focus on your quick daily tasks. Most of the time the big jobs can wait for a bit without any problems.
  • Frequently clear out your trash bins. They will smell bad a lot quicker with warm temperatures.
  • Add a quick dusting on your daily task list, with being outside all day we tend to carry in a lot more into the house. A quick sweep and wipe will help a lot.

Cocktail Party

Host a Summer Cocktail Party or make some fun drinks at your next BBQ, here are a few of my face cocktails and mocktails:

Next week on the blog I will share some of my Planning tips for Vacation/Road trips and a Free printable packing list! See you in a week and Happy Summer! x
